In contrast to previous depressing days, I'm having an excellent one today.
For starters, I've just scored an interview with the Iraqi blogger Salam Pax, which although it's being conducted by e-mail, should still hopefully be excellent. If nothing else I hope Salam will be able to shed light on the current situation in Iraq concerning the on-going executions of gays, lesbians and transsexuals by the Badr Organisation in that country, which is using homophobia as a weapon of war.
Secondly, I just discovered more about the hidden history of gay and lesbian pop music. Now, while I'm familiar with queercore bands like Pansy Division, and earlier pop legends like Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Bronski Beat and the bi/gay ascendancy of 1970's glam, I had ABSOLUTELY no idea that, for example, there was an explicitly gay pop song released in 1966 called 'Do You Come Here Often?'. Crazy, man!
There's also the Queer Music Heritage website that might also interest you.
Lastly, I've discovered the existence of a gay porn film shot a few years ago in South Australia, by allegedly squeaky-clean pop 'star' Anthony Callea, of Australian Idol fame. HilARIous! No, I'm not going to post any stills up here, and yes, I've seen enough to convince me that the film is for real. You'll probably hear more about it soon, as I believe someone connected with the film is trying to sell a set of stills to the highest bidder....
What a splendid day! I hope everyone else is having as much fun as me!

I can just picture l'l old Anthony taking it up the arse, snot running down his face, being held by his hair.
Heavens, fletcher, you make it sound like he was being forced or something.
No, I see him clapping his hands and barking like a seal.
